ABOUT NEW CREATION CHURCH
A small church built on real belonging.
We’re glad you found us. Whether you’re looking for a new church home, finding your way back after some time away, or just looking for a place where you and your family fit, there’s room for you here.

How we got started
New Creation Church began in 2011 in Keith and Amy Gunter’s living room. They had recently moved to Hendersonville from Marietta, Georgia, with a sense that God was calling them to plant something new here: a church for people who weren’t so sure church was for them.
It started simply, with a few people gathered around a coffee table, sharing life and figuring out faith together.
We’ve grown since then, from a living room to our storefront space on Avondale Road, but a lot of what made those early gatherings feel like home hasn’t changed. We’d still rather know you than impress you. We’re still small enough that people know each other’s names. And we still believe church is much more about the people gathered together than the building they gather in.
“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you.”
— Romans 15:7

We are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA)
New Creation is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), but you don’t need to know anything about Presbyterianism to feel at home here.
We take the Bible seriously. We take Jesus seriously. We just try not to take ourselves too seriously in the process.
You don’t need to arrive with a particular church background or all the right answers. Some of us have been part of church our entire lives. Others have complicated histories with it. Some are still figuring out what they believe. There’s room for honest questions here, and nobody expects you to pretend you have everything figured out.
