HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' FALL BIBLE STUDY

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

SAVORING THE PEACE OF JESUS

IN A CHAOTIC WORLD

DAY 5

Wednesday, September 18
Scripture: John 3:22-36

Book Pages: 33-37

Main Idea: Seek God-connection over self-protection.

Read John 3: 22-30

•How did John the Baptist see himself according to these verses? How did he see Jesus?

•John wasn't discounting his ministry; rather, he leaned into his calling from God to prepare the way for Jesus. It was important that he saw himself and his God-given calling clearly. Do you see yourself and your calling clearly? Are you content in your current calling?

Read John 3: 31-36

•Take note of all of the words and phrases used to describe Jesus

•John highlighted the eternal plan over earthly priorities. What earthly priorities have been consuming your focus?

•According to verse 36, what connects us directly to God?

•Take note of anything that stood out to you from today's lesson. Close in prayer, asking for God to help you see yourself and your calling clearly.
