•What problem that surfaced in Cana?

•In biblical times, a lapse in hospitality was considered catastrophic, and could even result in a lawsuit. This problem was quite serious. What are some of your typical approaches to serious problems?

Read John 2: 4-12

•It is important to note that by calling His mom "woman," Jesus was not being disrespectful. Culturally, it was a title of respect, similar to "ma'am." Still, Jesus' response was significant. Why?

•What did Jesus reveal for the first time at this event? Why is this significant?

Read John 2: 13-22

•What statement was Jesus making with his actions in the temple courts?
