HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' FALL BIBLE STUDY
THE GOSPEL OF JOHN
SAVORING THE PEACE OF JESUS
IN A CHAOTIC WORLD
DAY 2
Wednesday, September 11
Scripture: John 1:35-51
Book Pages: 18-22

Main Idea: We can savor peace when we respond to Jesus’ invitation to come and see.

Read John 1: 35-39
•In these verses, we hear the words of Jesus, John the Baptist, and John's two disciples. What stands out to you from this dialogue?
•How would you respond if Jesus asked you, "What do you want?"?

Read John 1: 40-51
•Take some notes on what you learn about Andrew, Peter, Philip and Nathanael. What patterns do you see?

Reflection:
•Jesus' invitation to "come and see" can be compared to Psalm 27:8; when his heart hears an invitation from the Lord, David responds, "Lord, I am coming."

How would you fill in the blank?
"My heart responds, 'Lord, I am ____________________.'"

•What helps you follow Jesus more closely?
•What hinders you from following him?
•Where have you been too focused on your own plans?
•How would your day be different if you consistently and intentionally sought the plan of Jesus?
