Read John 1: 1-5
•Who is “the Word” John referred to? What do we find out about Him in these verses?
•In your own words, summarize what’s stated or implied about the Word’s relationship to God, His existence and His work.

Read John 1: 6-18
•What did Jesus do according to verse 14? What does that mean to you?
•God put on flesh and came to earth to restore our broken relationship with him. He came near. Complete the following phrase: “Jesus came to earth for ___ (your name) and is near in the midst of ___ (a challenging circumstance) in my life.”

Read John 1: 19-34
•Summarize how John the Baptist described Jesus in verses 29, 30 and 34.
•Why is the term “Lamb of God” significant? What does it foreshadow?
