HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' FALL BIBLE STUDY

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

SAVORING THE PEACE OF JESUS

IN A CHAOTIC WORLD

OCTOBER 13-19

If you're reading this, it means that something has inspired you to take time out of your day today to sit down and spend time with God. You're choosing to engage in a spiritual rhythm, and that, my friends, should be celebrated.

We've gotten a bit off course the past few weeks. We missed 2 Sunday meetings due to our busy schedules, folks have fallen behind on readings, and I have fallen behind on updating the webpage. But that's okay. Why? Because God is still here.

Whether you've been meticulous and consistent about this Bible study, or this is the first you've opened, I am confident that God is excited to find you here. Amidst the busiest seasons of our lives, we may be bouncing from school to practice to meetings to work, checking off to-do lists, cramming for tests, working through the night, and losing stamina in our spiritual practices. We might feel, at times, a bit distant from God. But He doesn't go anywhere.

Let's take this week to re-orient ourselves with this Bible study and make sure we're all in the same place. I'm also going to change the format a bit. Instead of 3 studies per week, I will be sending out 1 larger study page that you can break up how you like.

This week, we're going to review what we've already covered, finish chapter 6 and begin chapter 7. For those following along in the book, you should work up to page 74 for this Sunday, Oct 20.

REVIEW:

•If you haven't completed any of the days, go ahead and find them here. I highly encourage you to finish the journal prompts, but at the very least, you should read the scripture.

•Even if you have completed all of the studies, I want you to take a moment and reread John 1:1-6:21. Yes, that's the whole thing so far...but it's probably only about six pages in your Bible. Remind yourself where we left off in the life & ministry of Jesus.
